On the 8th of december we had a editing tutorial we used the little boy in the cafe. in this we used the input and output to put together an existing film that was broken up into seperate scenes we use. During this we learned how to design a film this will help on my last real film. I found this very use full and when i designed the practice film i managed to create some very effective cuts.

Planning 1st thriller

On the 8th december we were told we had to create a short thriller in order to get us use to the equiptments and get into thge routine of being responsible in our small groups. the criteria for filming our triller was that we had to include ;
P.O.V shot, Over the shoulders and an Extreme close up(ECU). we also had to include a newspaper in the plot.
After a lesson of planning and recording our thriller ideas it was decided that it would show a man carrying and brifcase and acting suspicious after he places a document inside of it . A woman who has been watching him closety then follows him after he heads for the stairs. She doesnt quite catch up to him but he bumps into someone else and an empty brifcase is shown on the floor at the end which was decided to build up suspense.

We to come up with 20 shots however had a bit of difficulty therefore we ended up with about 16 shots in the end. This wasnt a problem though as we we confident that we would do ok when filming for the next lesson.
